“State Of Shock” was the first single to be released from the Jacksons “Victory” album in 1984. It’s primarily a duet between Michael and Mick Jagger from The Rolling Stones. The two superstars never recorded the song together, actually they were on opposite sides of the US at the time. Reportedly when Michael heard Jaggers vocals he was disappointed. Consequently Michael never filmed a music video to help promote the single.
The origins of the song was a duet between Michael and Freddie Mercury, originally intended for the “Thriller” album. A demo of the latter was recorded and has since leaked online without any official release.
