State of Shock

The first single from the ‘Victory’ album, ‘State of Shock,’ is released. Lead vocals are by Michael and Mick Jagger, making it all but a duet between the two. The b-side was ‘Your Ways’ from the previous Jacksons album ‘Triumph’ in 1980. The song hits number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and 14 in the UK. The song was originally recorded with Freddie Mercury instead of Jagger. The version has since leaked on the internet. ‘State of ‘Shock would become the last top ten hit for the Jacksons.
